B and P, your youthful energy, professionalism and expertise in managing Papa's medical needs have been nothing short of remarkable over the last few months. Your patience and care when dealing with his health challenges have provided immense reassurance to our family. Your ability to adapt and respond to his changing requirements has been invaluable. How lucky we were to have made contact with Peepal Care! S, of Peepal Care, has been highly professional in her approach to finding the right solution for my two elderly parents. We have been dependant on Peepal Care for caring for our elderly parents since Jan 2020. They were able to put a carer in the post at very short notice. At that time, we were desperate for a carer because our mother was sent home from hospital still in severe pain. Peepal care came to our rescue and since then we haven’t looked back. We still use their services today because they are reliable, dependable and they can provide Gujarati speaking carers who can cook Gujarati foods which is what we were looking for. My father was looked after by Peepal Care for over a year. He had full-time care. The carers who looked after him were caring, kind and considerate. My dad had one main carer S who was very dedicated to my dad and formed a special bond with him. We were very lucky that he spoke Gujarati and blended into the family home like a member of our family. S who runs Peepal Care has always been on hand whenever I have had a query. She listened and helped in every way that she could. It was at a desperate time we looked for a carer for my father suffering from Alzheimer falling sick suddenly and first time getting hospitalised. My mother, if she could, should have written this reference. I hope I can accurately echo her sentiments.
J has been an absolute godsend for my family. My 75 year old mother suffered a massive stroke on August 13 2014, after which she has been left severely brain damaged. I instantly knew when I first met her that she was the kind, patient and caring person who was right for my mother.
My mother’s needs have been extensive. She is medically complicated, yet J has managed her medications and therapies beautifully – and far better than many nurses or doctors could have. She has had severe depression, yet J has always been positive and uplifting. She has severe brain damage resulting in communication difficulties, yet J is always patient and finds a way of letting mum be understood and feel heard. Mum’s physiotherapist and occupational therapists have commented on the fact the J provides way better therapy than they could themselves, and commended her for this.
My mother has needed far more than just 8 hours of care a day, which is what J is really meant to provide us with. She has always been there, any time of the day or night for us.
J is also an excellent cook and housekeeper. She has always been diligent, kept the house beautiful and made sure we are all looked after. She has a very strong sense of right and wrong, a strong faith that has helped us all in times of difficulty, and most importantly, she is always professional. Even when times have been hard she has remained focussed on her job which is looking after a sick and vulnerable lady, primarily.
I cannot emphasise enough what a special person this is and hope that she stays in close touch with my family. My mother will find it very hard to lose the person who has been her lifeline, and it will be very hard to replace her. As I do not spend a lot of time with Mrs T it is difficult for me to assess some aspects of her care but as far as I can tell, all Mrs T’s needs are being met, the care is of a high standard, communication from the carer is good and I have no recommendations to improve service.
